It’s Almost Beach Time!

Beach Passes Required as of May 1, 2019

A brisk but gorgeous day at Tod’s Point this morning. Out for a walk, I couldn’t help but be reminded that if I don’t remember to renew my own beach pass, I’ll be turned away starting Wednesday. This beautiful park which offers so much to visitors, is my oasis. As busy as life gets, once I’m there all else melts away.

It’s about a 2-mile loop around once you get past the gate. This peninsula has the beach, of course, but also a Community Sailing Center, a windsurfing launch, picnic tables and grills with amazing views of New York City in the distance, concession stands, and even a satellite of the Bruce Museum, the Seaside Center, open seasonally featuring environmental education.

Year round, it’s a fabulous place to go for a run, ride your bike, or simply take in the beauty of Long Island Sound and nature.
